University of Bucharest Tops Rankings for Highest-Paid Graduates in Romania University of Bucharest Tops Rankings for Highest-Paid Graduates in Romania ============================================================================= CIVIS Highlights 15 de noviembre de 2024 The University of Bucharest has emerged as Romania’s leading comprehensive higher education institution, distinguished by the impressive employment outcomes and salaries of its graduates. Notably, alumni from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science working in Bucharest earn an average of 3,500 EUR per month, underscoring the university’s role in shaping some of the country’s most well-compensated professionals, says UB. ![](/storage/files/foto.jpg) Photo © UB Also, according to the most recent data offered by the prestigious Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2025, the University of Bucharest is the first university in Romania concerning Employment Outcomes and Employer Reputation. Thus, - for the indicator, which targets *Employment Outcomes*, the University of Bucharest is positioned in the first 235 universities in the world, out of the 1.503 institutions included in the ranking this year, - while for the indicator targeting *Employer Reputation*, the University of Bucharest ranks #462 at the international level. Top Earning Fields for UB Graduates: Computer Science and Law ------------------------------------------------------------- According to the data existing in the monitoring system for the employability of higher education graduates, the University of Bucharest has the best-paid graduates out of all comprehensive universities, with an average salary of approximately 1,100 EUR/ month, 5 years after graduation (**all fields** study). The University of Bucharest ranks first in this chart, followed by the West University of Timișoara and Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. However, the graduates of the Faculty of **Mathematics and Computer Science** have an average income of 3,500 EUR/ month (the highest salary is 6,600 EUR/ month), while for the Faculty of **Law** graduates, the average salary rises to 1,500 EUR/ month (the maximum salary tops 3,500 EUR/ month). > *Based on the premise that the rapid integration of graduates into the labour market is the main task that a university has to fulfil and the most important duty towards its students, the University of Bucharest has developed in recent years the area of partnerships with various private companies and non-profit organisations, providing its students with real and applied internship opportunities,* says the Rector of the University, prof. univ. dr.
